Marika is an independent recording artist, who writes and records her own material.   She also enjoys writing for Christian and country music artists. Her musical style is a cross between Rock and New Country.

Song writing is a release for her — her sanity in a sense. She says she doesn’t know what she’d do if she didn't have this as an outlet.  She has a way of writing about life events using lyrics with a mainstream country feel.   She feels as though she has have found her ‘niche’ you could say.  Country music is a great style for her.  All of her songs are based on stories.

When she sings, she puts herself in the character's shoes and feels the way they'd feel. She’s found this is the best way for her to relax and enjoy herself on stage.

Her only other passion as you already know is cooking — She loves to cook! Often, she finds herself writing when she’s cooking up a storm. The candles are lit, the fire is going and the Italian sauce is simmering...
